About the Artist
Hello. I am Melinda Lindquist, a ceramicist working from my studio in Carlisle, Massachusetts and at the Umbrella for the Arts in nearby Concord. I have been exploring ideas in ceramics for many years, and today am especially interested in pronounced textures, layered glazes and natural forms. I am working to embody these themes in functional home wares, functional sculptures such as planters, and outdoor garden sculptures. I also have a young granddaughter who loves cats, so cat and animal forms are also starting to be of interest. I sell my work at spring and winter sales at the Umbrella, at local events in Carlisle, and from this website. If there is something you like or ideas you would like to discuss, please contact me via the ‘contact’ page. This site shows some representative recent work - but I am always working on new forms and designs - so watch for updates! Thank you for your interest.
